| The ACS 16 Bit Voltage Quantizer converts a continuous control voltage generated by the TM-116 in the range of 0 - 2.5V into a stepped output voltage of 1V/Oct (semitone steps). Designed to play any VCO, commercial analog synthesizer, or other synthesizer modules like Vocoder and Frequency Shifter containing 1V/Oct input in precision never seen before. The ACS Quantizer is the most accurate, fast action and stable 1V/Oct Control Voltage generator ever made. Using a pure logic IC path with no microprocessor gives an extraordinary conversion time of max. 50 uSec. The Analogic Quantizer is dedicate to convert the 0-2.5V CV generated by the TM-116 analog sequencer with great stability. Its CV input stage is made of 4 CV mixers, each with 2 inputs where for example the first input can be used for the CV coming from one TM-116, while the second input is used for the CV coming from a different TM-116, clocked at different rate, transposing the first sequence. The mixers are selected using a counter; each time the Next-Channel input is triggered, the Quantizer converts the next mixer channel. The order of advancing to the next channel can be controlled by the UP/DOWN input or CH1 input. In addition, the Analogic Quantizer consists of 3 bank , each bank consisting of 8 scales, which can be selected manually, using the rotary potentiometer, or automatically by supplying a gate signal to one of the 8 scale banana inputs. Live on stage or in the studio this module would easily generate musical analog sequences . |
